April 18, 2011 – Pittsburgh, PA – The technology firm Careerimp is flipping job searching on its head with web applications that are sure to have frustrated job seekers breathing a sigh of relief. Today Careerimp is releasing its first product, Resunate, a free app found at http://resunate.com
In the U.S. more than 200 job seekers, on average, apply to each new job posting. With limited time, over 80% of employers now use applicant tracking systems (ATSs) that allow them to automate the process of screening resumes. One such application growing in popularity is semantic technology which ranks candidates based on the relevance of their experiences. Resunate applies Semantic Intelligence™ to assist job seekers by matching their experiences against specific job descriptions, automatically creating smarter resumes for each unique opening.
Whereas other resume builders are largely used as basic design and formatting templates – Resunate identifies which aspects of a candidate’s work history are most relevant for each job and formats this information into Templates That Matter™. Seasoned career experts, from directors at major university career centers to recruiters at Fortune 100 companies, create Resunate’s templates to optimize readability and improve the information capture rate when resumes are scanned into an ATS.
Earlier this year Resunate completed a closed Beta with a select group of universities and career agencies, largely informing product development. “I’m impressed. I love it.” says Lance Choy, Director of the Career Development Center at Stanford University.
To test the effectiveness of Resunate among employers, the Careerimp team recently conducted a blind study across multiple open positions that found Resunate resumes were 100% more likely to be selected for an interview than non-Resunate resumes with identical backgrounds.
"I’ve spent my career investigating how employers search for candidates and what factors weigh the highest,” says Ayan Kishore, CEO & co-Founder of Careerimp. “The goal of Resunate is to provide job seekers the first window into the analysis that happens on the employer side, which helps job seekers, and employers too."
