About Saniki Creations Handmade Chainmaille and Adornments

Specializing in the techniques of Chainmaille, Saniki Creations Handmade Chainmaille and Adornments (formerly known as Jewelry by Saniki Creations) is located in New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada, in an area known as Queensborough. All designs are handmade solely by the owner Penny Cheng.

A self-taught artist who began creating jewelry in 2009. Penny Cheng's first designs highlighted an array of glass, crystals and semiprecious stones, but her love of metal art led the way to her specialization of Chainmaille, a technique in which small rings are individually woven together to form an intricate weave/pattern. Cheng's use of these traditional and modern technique in Chainmaille Weaves, made from stainless steel, copper, brass, bright aluminum, and bronze, has enabled her to bring her vision of "Wearable Art" to life creating a wonderful assortment of Jewelry, Accessories and Home Decor.

Cheng also teaches the art of Chainmaille weaving locally and participates in local craft fairs/trade shows. She is an active member of Artists in the Boro and The Artisan Group plus a devoted advocate of women's, child's and animal welfare.
