PressKing's pricing model is based on a simple principle: 1 credit equals 1 email sent to 1 media contact (journalist, blogger, etc). Credits can be purchased in bundles with $10 buying 100 credits, $20 buying 200 credits, and so on.
The paid service allows clients to send press releases to as many contacts as they desire, as well as to gain access to PressKing's extensive media database. In addition, client press releases can be posted onto PressKing's official Facebook and Twitter pages for a small fee. The free service still allows clients to create and publish press releases in dedicated online "press rooms," as well as to share them on their own social media feeds, however, press releases cannot be distributed and clients will not have access to PressKing's contact database.
From the PressKing homepage, click on "create a press release" and fill in all necessary fields. Remember, you must upload a company logo and a photo, video, or PDF. Then, you can preview or publish your press release. Once you publish, you must choose who to distribute to, either from an automatically generated distribution list or an existing list you have already compiled. For each different target, you can write a short personalized message introducing the press release. At this point, you can also share your press release on your own and/or PressKing's social networks. Finally, once the press release is distributed, you can monitor who read, liked, or commented on it and follow up accordingly.
No. Each press release must be edited and approved by the PressKing editorial team. This process can take anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours, depending on press release volume.
No. Make sure that you have completed all the necessary fields in the press release form. You must choose at least one, but no more than five, tags to specify who the press release will be distributed to. Don't forget to upload images or videos and your brand's logo!
Each journalist is tagged by a specific topic. To optimize a distribution list, begin by typing in general tags such as national or regional news, and then business, art, science, technology, women's interest, etc. You can also limit the list by location. As a PR agency, PressKing owns its media contact database and thus, distribution lists cannot be exported.
With the paid service, PressKing allows clients to post press releases to their companies' social networks for free, as well as to PressKing's Facebook and/or Twitter pages for a few credits per press release.
We greatly value quality of the content published and distributed by PressKing. The more qualitative a press release is, the wider reach it will have within the journalism community. That is why each press release must be moderated and verified by the PressKing editorial team. If your press release is "pending," this indicates that it has been received by the editorial team but has not yet been approved.
